Tasting 1 - Cabernet Sauvignon - Bay Bridge

Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon - Bay Bridge Vineyards
Region: Livermore and Ripon, California
Country: USA
Year: 2019

Online Review:
Ruby black color. Aromas of red cassis, ripe plum, spice cookies, dill, and sun dried tomato with a supple, vibrant, dry-yet-fruity light-to-medium body and a smooth, snappy chocolate tart and hints of almonds finish with well-integrated, medium tannins and moderate oak flavor. A juicy, pairable Cab for the table and beyond.

Folly: Page 88. The rich flavor and high tannin content in Cabernet Sauvignon make it a perfect partner to rich grilled meats, peppery sauces, and dishes with high flavor.

My Review:
Dry. Sooooo dry. It feels like my whole face is getting sucked into my mouth, with immediate feeling of dehydration ensuing. While the fruity aftertaste is somewhat pleasant, I would much rather eat the grapes off the vine :) I am personally not a fan of this wine since, from past experience, I typically prefer white or pink wines, and this wine made my tongue feel all scrunched.

I had this wine with no food.
